Direct Burn AVI to DVD...?

    I found an old-ish post today. Someone asked for the best way to convert AVI to DVD. One of the replies said to get a DVD player that plays mpeg4, DivX and XviD because then you can skip the hours of conversion and burn the AVI directly to DVD.

    My question is, how do you do this Direct Burn exactly? No one thought to ask the guy how he did it and Google has no clue.
