Disable switch problem

    How do I get a disable switch to work with Slayers Evo-X?

    When turning the switch off, I get the error code 05

    I believe code 5 is an unlocked hard drive. Can you boot to the original xbox bios at all? If not get configmagic and lock the HD.

    what will locking my hard drive keep me from doing? i bought it like it is, why would it come unlocked? thanks maxbern

    If you've got a Slayers Installer disc just use the EEPROM MGMT option in the menu. It will load ConFigMagicFinal. This is the easiest way to lock your harddrive.
    If you don't have Slayers then ou can either make a disc with ConFigMagic or FTP it and run it from the XBox harddrive.
