i know its been covered...iv read em all (well the main ones anyway) but im still having trouble backing up protected disc's, its a safedisc V2, i do everything the guides say and have tried various methods, alcohol 120% etc, but non work, i realise im probably doin something wrong but i dont know what. i have the original discs, i clonyXXL the disk to find out what protection it has (safedisc V2) i dump the image using alcohol 120%, and am left with 2 image files (this is where im confused) should i be left with a .cue and a .bin file?? or some other file, cos alcohol lets you choose what file to dump?!? a .cue a .iso a .ccs or a .mds, which do i choose, i chose .cue, but it did not work, it still asks for disc 1 but when i click "ok" it does nothing? plz by what iv said what am i doin wrong??? thx a million. ask me for more info and i'll give it to you if i can, im a bit of a noob when it comes to pc's, so plz try and sort this problem out for me..cheers
Hi, If you're dumping an image from the original disc you should end up with two files, .mds and .mdf. Is there some reason you're not doing a full disc copy through A120 as opposed to dumping in one step then burning in another?
