I'm not sure if my drive supports Disc Quality Test or not. I was wondering how to find out if it does or doesn't. Besides trying it on a disc, cause i been reading about it, and my drive says it might come disabled or something. So my question is what program can I use to check if it can Disc quality test discs. And what do I look for. Thanks You Storm~
From what I've seen, a disc quality test won't disable your drive.....odd if it would Seen the lastest posts on disc quality checks? I was talking to a guy earlier about them. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/291477 And what kind of drive do you have?
My drive isnt disabled, just possibly the option to use that feature is. I have a Memorex DVD16+/-DL4RWnD2 DVD-RW ( supposebly its a ND-3520A from NEC ) Here's some info -> http://cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=261&page=Intro
Yeah, the disc quality checks should work fine on your drives. The checks do nothing but scan the disc you put in.
But when i try to check a disc, is says your drive does not support this feature, so if it does support it, how do i enable it.
NEC drives have a problem with Disk scanning software. Based on your model, it looks like a re-badged NEC.
Download DVDinfoPro which is a free program and try it yourself. Like I mentioned above, I have not heard of anyone with an NEC Burner having luck with scanning software. But you might be the first. Download the program and let us know.
Ya I dont think it does, thinking about getting the Benq 1655. Dont think the Benq 1650 is coming out for another 1-2 months. Thanks everyone for your help. Storm~
