I am trying to make copies of DVD's -5 which I have made from the original. No program has worked so far: Nero, DVDFab platinum, Convert X to DVD, DVD shrink, Santa DVD. It never gets to the burn stage so I know its not the disc. I keep getting error messages: cyclic redundancy check, etc). Can you suggest a different software or tell me how to correct the problem? It most certainly is the disc...just not the one you are burning too, but the one you burned on originally. This means that your burner can't read the disc. Make sure it free of dirt and scratches. If that doesn't solve your problem make another copy using the original and use quality media such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden and chalk it up to a lesson learned.
Taiyo Yuden is only available online unless your reside in the UK...then they will be labelled as Verbatim. Verbatim in the US can be found at Best Buy, OfficeMax, Staples, Sam's Club etc.
