i recently backed up 9 different movies for my little nephew.8 outta the 9 loaded and played fine.the 9nth one wouldnt load and said"disc error, playback feature not available on this dvd". whats this about? now i should tell you the 8 movies that did work were ripped from actual dvds and the one that wouldnt load or play was originally in mpeg format.its a older movie that is not available on dvd he likes, and i also had a hard time finding it on video tape.i found a vhs rip of the movie on a torrent site.it was in avi format.so then i converted it with divxtodvd to make audio and video ts folders so i can burn on a dvd.then i tested it on 3 different players too make sure it worked before giving it to him,and it worked great.my sister calls me up and says its the only one that wont play outta the 9 movies i made for him.WHATS THE DEAL???
No Deal...Thats just the Way she goes sometimes... Could be a Bad Disk or Burn errors or maybe God is Pissed off... You gotta expect that 1 in 10 disks could be a Bad disk and standalone DVD Players are Much more Picky than DVD Drives so it might be Possible for you to rip the DVD to your HD and re-Burn it to a New Disk and then it might play..... Cheers PS: allways Make sure you Burn all your DVD"s at a Low Speed (2x/4x)as it will less the chance of this Happening....
