discs with region 1 coding (how to decode dvd player)

    hey guys a friend of mine just popped round with cheeks & chongs up in smoke. its the no 1 stoner filims of all time (classic) but unfortunitly its region 1 coded so at the mo its just sitting there lauging at us. my dvd player is a s*ny model no HCD DC410 its actullay prt of a 5.1 system! so if anybody could help me on this as soon as possabile i would be very greatfull? cheers guys

    Just back up the disc with a region 0 code, burn disc and play. No probs

    i found a black diamond dvd player in the attic that i bought about 7yrs ago & i chanced playing it in that & it worked without a glitch, im asuming that its region free? thanks for the help any way boy cheers!! just one more thing how is it that, that dvd player is region free back then & my s*ny dvd players that i paid over 300EURO each for are not region free today?
