Is it virtually impossible for existing Dish Network customers to upgrade their PVR501 to a higher-capacity one --- the 721 is it? Or to go to HD dual-tuner and greater capacity? Should I be looking somewhere besides Dish Network for hardware, at a reasonable price?
all dn dvr's at the present time can not be upgraded to a larger hdd, with out a great deal of trouble, since it is not windows platform! directv tivo on the other hand can be upgraded to a larger hdd by the user......see www.weeknees.com for more info. also fro a really good forum on all dtv and audio go to www.dbstalk.com
