Disk errorlayback feature may not be available on this disk i looked at the other threads and it didnt really help me... I got this dvd and i burned it with dvdSanta, it was bunch of vob, ifo, bup files.. it played fine on the pc but when i put it in my dvd player to watch it on tv it gave me that error.
You might need to get a region-free dvd player. You can check videohelp.com for more information about your current dvd player
well it works with some of the dvd's i get, so i doubt its my dvd player....so there's no specific reason that you would get this error??? like it was compressed wrong and there's no program that you can use to re-compress it properly??
if it is the region issue, any way i can remove the region thing from the disk instead of getting a region free dvd player?
Here is a guide to use Nero Vision: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 Make sure your Video mode is set to NTSC for United States. What is your current dvd player?
If this is due to region code then you can use DVD Decrypter to make it a region free disc. By making sure DVD decrypter is set to region free and then do (MODE/ISO/READ) then (MODE/ISO/WRITE) If it is due to the DVD being in PAL format and your DVD player is not compatible with PAL format then you will need to use a program like Nero Vision to convert the DVD from PAL to NTSC. Doing this will delete all menus from the disc and you will only be left with the NTSC converted movie. You can make a menu with Nero Vision but the orignal medu will be lost.
U can open the Video_TS.IFO file with VobBlanker to see what it is. U can also convert them with VobBlanker too. here is link http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm
well i know its in NTSC format but i dont know about the region thing can u find that out with vobblanker too?? also how do i convert with vobblanker pal to ntsc the guide didnt really tell me or i missed it
when i opened it with dvd shrink, in the little preview window, it says this disc is not formatted to play in this region... but i used this program to check it and this is what it shows
