Hi, Have just reformatted and reinstalled everything on my XP Pro system afer (amaxingly enough) 1 year without needing to do so - a record for XP!

I am currently travelling the world and before I set out I compressed many of my audio files to mp3 format. I now want to expand them to .wav burn them and play them back on my CD player but am horrified by the results I am currently getting with Nero (I have the very latest version and am running The very latest version of DVD + CS Free with autio options checked). The discs burn fine and will play back on the PC but on my home CD Player the first 3 tracks play and then the disc simply cuts out. You cannot search menus etc. Assuming that this was a tracklisting problem was what prompted me to check the audio oftions in 'region free' which needed a system reboot. Still no difference in the results though and I'm down about 12 discs already for 2 desired good ones!

Anybody know what the deal is here - I never previously had these types of problems.

In addition I have had similar problems in trying to burn iso images with Alcohol 120% - the buffer just freezes, nothing gets recorded and I end up having to bin the 'results' - again I'm mystified.

    Would appreciate constructive solutions.

    Thanks in Advance!

Can you list what hardware you using and what media, then we can tackle this bit by bit until we get the problem. Are you willing to try other software, and if required spend some money, or are you determined to stick with what you already have. Have you at least cleaned the lens on the burner to eliminate that as a possible cause?
