ok so this is what I had recently done to my car before this speaker problem. i had to replace my window motor and after that I must of messed up something when switching the motor because now my interior lights will randomly come on and off and when I turned the car off the door ajar alarm went off even though i havent even opened the door. decided not to mess with too much I dont know what im getting into so I pulled the fuse for it but after that i pulled that i got the distortion/interference in my speakers. theres a constant crackling like noise and when I do electronic things such as windows/turn signal/windshield wipers i can hear the sound come from the speakers. would simply pulling a fuse cause that or it was it just a fluke? if so what can I do about it?
id like to do it myself, just for the experience and knowledge. im not at all familiar with cars and Id rather not take it to a shop and spend money on something i could fix myself for like 5 bucks or something lol
is it a vw lol, check wires from car body to door weakest link when door opens and closes wires fracture.also check door pin switch not broken as u might have brushed up against it.
david66 is real right. You may not like what you learn. Even though it is low voltage your electricy learning could be VERY costly. I learned not to mess with car wiring and where to put the fuses long ago and I never forgot my lesson. I had put the fuse too far from the source and made a bad wiring mistake. The power went to ground before the fuse so the wire turned red hot and was about to set my seat on fire and burn out my car. I did not have money to buy an new car and I needed one. I acted quickly and ripped out the glowing red hot wire with my bare hands. It burned through 1/4 inch of my flesh. Had I acted slower I would had needed to buy a new car and I bet the insurance would not pay. You have arcing somewhere in your car. That it what is causing the static. You are lucky the arcing is not in a place where there was something easy to burn or you would be without a car now. I wouldn't count on your luck holding. De-fusing it by replacing the fuse with a non fuse will allow your car to burn up.
i tried putting back in the fuse i took out to see if that would clear anything up and i got a little spark while trying to put it back in and from what I herd is not suppose to happen lol so I never fully put back in the fuse that i took out. its a piece of shit first car so im not even gonna bother messing with it anymore, its not worth the trouble. thanks anyways though
You are right. It shouldn't spark like that. It ought not to cause distortion in your speakers either. You have a short in your wiring. If you do not want to get it fixed by someone that knows what they are doing I guess you need to cross your fingers and hope the car doesn't set on fire while you are driving on an interstate.
Brother listen to this advice, only take your car to an EXPERIENCED AUTO ELECTRICAL ENGINEER they are well worth the money in the long ruSave your time for whats on your stereo's side of the fuse, trust me it will occupy most of it! I was an enthusiast once; alas, three break-ins and $5,000.00 later I have found other hobbies...
Sorry to hear about your loss. 5 K is more than I am prepared to lose. Most descent CD players for cars now have removable face plates. You can get some unobvious speakers and you will not be marking your car for breakins.
