Hey, I tried to convert an avi-file to DVD. Normally that works just fine with DivX 2 DVD, I never had problems before. But when the DVD is created and I try to play the DVD with PowerDVD (or any other player), the audio isn't synchronised with the movie. Its a few seconds late. Does anyone has an idea how I can fix this? Thanks. Greetz Esther.
If it's a constant delay' there are many authoring programs which allosw you to compensate that delay. If it is a non-constant delay, it's caused by the use of MP3 VBR instead of MP3 CBR in AVI's audio compression. You'll have to extract the sound as uncompressed WAV from that AVI (open the AVI with VirtualDub. Set Audio___Full priocessing mode. Do File___Save WAV) and use that WAV, instead of AVI's MP3 internal audio, during DVD authoring.
