I was following the guide to converting DVD to DivX but when I got to the VirtualDub part about opening up to select compression method, I can't find my DivX codec in there. I've tried installing DivX 5 first and then VirtualDub and vice-versa but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thx.

Hmm... tricky problem. Always re-boot after installing. Try re-installing Windows. That´s all the advice I have for you, hope it helps.

Heh heh, I know what you mean. As for re-installing Windows... It always cures the original problem but new/different ones arise after a fresh install. :p~

Thx for your help anyway. :)

I´m still using Windows 98SE. It´s really un-stable. It´s amazing how Microsoft released the product with this many flaws, but that should´t surprise one after all the trouble with Internet Explorer. Opera anyone?
