Folks please forgive my ignorance in this topic as I am new to this and was unable to find anything in my searches.

    Here is my setup:
I have a S-Video cable from my computer to my TV, therefore watch movies "technically" on my computer. I have downloaded the latest www.divx.com player which I use through the main Player and through Windows Media Player.

    Problem:
I have two DivX movies that I have downloaded and it includes subtitles in the .rar, but I am unable or just not technical enough to figure out how to get it to work.

    Movie Filenames:
    Rendition.avi
    Rendition.srt
    &
    AugustRush.avi
    AugustRush.idx
    AugustRush.sub

    My Question:
Without having to convert my .avi to another format, which i have seen in various forums, is there a "SIMPLE" way to just play a DivX movie and have the SubTitles incorporated?

    Thanks for your help...
    ...Mike

Download a progam called 'AVIAddXSubs' and follow the instructions it gives you, it's very simple. The file remains in AVI format.

I don't know about the DIVx Player that you got, but if you want the subtitles correctly displayed using Windows Media PLayer, download VobSub. VobSub will automaticallt load the subtitles if they are named the same as the movie.
    Or, use VLC player.
