I have a DivX file with the following details: (576 x 352, 16 Bits, 124427 Frames, 25.000 Frames/Sec, 110 KB/Sec, DivX codec). I've tried everything on evry advice on every forum but have not found a solution to the "audio out of sync" problem. I opened the DivX .avi file first in VirtualDub. Then using Direct stream copy, I saved the individual video (.avi) and audio (.wav) files. Then I tried converting the audio file to constant bitrate using LAME 1.1.5 but it shows an error that the .wav file is of unsupported format. What should I do? Is there any other way of working around this problem?
Ruby, make sure you have up to date codecs. if avi files was encoded out of sink it is a real prob to fix, but not impossible.try using panasonic mpeg encoder to re-encode avi this may fix other wise de multiplex file to sound and picture cut sound using sound editor and re multiplex files . best program is TMPGEnc availible freely ..... if you look
