Divx Create 6.1 Divx converter Mpeg1 missing error

Does anyone know why you would get a Mpeg1 missing error when try to convert Avi with Divx converter?

In Divx Create Bundle 6.1 divx converter had been working okay.

the only program Uninstalled is a Old Ulead program I never used.
(Came with video card)

I have - update display driver and sound driver

directions at DivX site To solve the problem:

" un-register the default mp3 filter that comes with your Operating System and then re-register it: "l3codecx.ax"

To Un-register and Re-register the filter "l3codecx.ax" , please use the following steps:

Go to Start ==> Run ==> and type in "cmd"
First, type in: regsvr32 -u C:\windows\system32\l3codecx.ax
Then type in: regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\l3codecx.ax
If you don't find it at all, please find the file "l3codecx.ax" attached. MAKE SURE to put it in the following directory: C:\windows\system32\"

I replaced the 13codecx file with the one I down load from divx site
Because I could not get through the second step.
said something like could not find or invaled.

also try to do this in safe mode. same results.

Still the same missing mpeg1 error when trying to convert Avi file.

Any ideas what is going on?
