    HI guys,
    newbie here I'm afraid.
I have a series of DivX and XVD films on my hard drive and would like to burn one or two to disc to use on the standalone player.

I did this ages ago and I am sure that I used Nero burning Rom.

when i tred to burn a disc using the xvid ( i had remembered to use the over burn so it would fit on) it gave me the message "unexpected video format"
so i converted it to DIVX but that made the file about 900mb - way to big for a cd

was i being thick and should I

    a) use nero express instead

    b) do something else completely

    many thanks

    Andy

If the DVD player is DivX compatible, burn the files to a data DVD.
Depending on the Version of Nero, it would be NeroVision Express or Nero Vision 4.

To fit on a CD the file would have to be converted to VCD format.
