Hi James 1984, i have just brought the yamada dvx 6700 for £42 delivered and it plays the lot, DVD+-, CD-r, RW's and Xvid, DivX and avi. But it does require firmware upgrade, this was very easy burned it to cd and ran it through the player. chek out the dvd players forum for the + and - points, but for £42 in the UK you can not go wrong best gaget I have at the moment no more converting to DVD and wasting time, burned 4 Divx movies straigt to DVD and played them. hope this helps Dayspring
I need to know what i can do to play movies that i download with out having a dvd burner and I need to play them on my tv if anyone could tell me how to do this that would be very thankful thx alot
James, if the file is about 700mb and you have a cd burner just burn your movie to cd, you should be able to play it in a divx player, i have a yamada 6700,
Hi daystream, I'm just about to take delivery of a yamada dvx 6700 and was wondering what version of firmware you upgraded to and from where you got the firmware update. I'd be grateful if you could let me know.
Hey James, I have the DVP-642 model and it supports a ton of formats and you can get this model real cheap at most of your major dept stores. Also you can look up specs on many models and this guide will also give you a price range along with showing you the supporting formats. Hope this helps you! http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers...Search&chipset=&country=&orderby=Name&hits=25
