I'm thinking of purchasing a DVD Player that can play Divx files/movies. I wanted to see if anyone can recommend me on what's the best one to buy. I heard about the Philips DVD Player ( DVP642 ) is a good one to get. Any suggestions?
On a list of best to worst, that would be somewhere near the bottom, above Sunplus based players though. The players that are available varies around the world. Not sure what is available in the US. Perhaps look into an MTK based player from Pioneer or LG. The new Zoran Vladis chipset is supposed to be able to handle 3 warp point GMC though. Guess that doesn't matter for DivX anyway since it doesn't use it. Could be usefull for XviD or Nero Digital though.
