    Hi,

I've got a problem with a Divx movie. The sound is out of sync. For the first 57min everything is fine, then all of a sudden the sound is out of sync for the rest of the movie. I've never had this kind of a problem so I have no idea what to do. Is there a program available that lets me fix that kind of a problem?
Any help is appreciated, thanks alot!

    Greets,

I am not sure about this but I think that Divfix might solve it

No, Divfix doesn't solve the problem, I've already tried that. I also tried extracting the audio with virtualdub and then multiplexing it back into the avi - same result, it didn't help.

    Are there any other options?

    thx.
    greets,

    I had the same problem.
But I used VirtualDub to fix it.

yes, i am having this same problem with a new DivX i d/l except this happens from the start. I was thinking that mayb converting the avi to mpeg (using avi2vcd) and then using virtuadub. The other option i may have is to reencode the movie using flask mpeg or x-mpeg at a consistent frame rate i will be fine.

Let me know how u go,

    i have the solution

i have fixed the sync error in my divx!!!

first i used avi2vcd to decompress the audio
second i converted the pcm avi stream to mpeg (using avi2vcd)
third using x-mpeg, i stripped the audio to a seperate file and used nero wave editor to remove the extra sound at the start until i had good sync
then using TMPGEnc i recombined the audio and video for the first 30 sec to make sure the sync woz right b4 doing the whole movie.
i then used nero to reencode and burn the movie to vcd.
