DIVX to DVD or VCD

    I have a movie that is in both, MPG and DIVX. I cant copy either in any format that will play on my dvd. What program can i use to copy the movie to a DVD that will play on a stand alone dvd player? I tried Nero, and i created a menu, the menu popped up, i clicked on the image...and nothing. just froze. Any help would be appreciated. JLH
