I have to divx that I am trying to convert to dvd. But everytime I try the audio gets out of sync. Its a variable bit rate does that matter because im been reading and I think it matters does it? I,ve tried divx to dvd, dvd santa, but still no go. any help with be appreciated.
I have gone through so many programs I can't keep track of them all. The two you mention are on my list. Try this one for converting avi to dvd: AVI DivX MPEG to DVD Converter & Burner Pro\video2dvd.exe. It appears to work well and will give a preview. I've learned to burn to a re-writable DVD first to see if the result is OK to burn onto a DVD. I'll usually tell the program to make two copies. After it is finished burning to the RW I'll throw it into my DVD and check it out (search, pause, etc.) when I'm satisfied it is OK I'll burn the second copy. Comment: DVDSanta converts OK but when it burns I can't search on my DVD. Sometimes I will convert the file on DVDSanta and then burn on another program like Nero. Seems like they all have their bugs. They might work for one but won't for another. Good luck.
