divx to vcd/svcd - lossy?

    I have a divx of a movie (rage in the machine, battle of mexico city) that I'd like to convert to vcd/svcd. It's in divx/ac3.

    I converted it using several tools; the vcd looks horrible compared to the orginial, the audio is fine, but the video is no where near as sharp. Is this to be expected?

    when u convert it to VCD dont expect to have that dvd/divx quality it aint gonna happen, sorry
