Hi, I have a downloaded DivX movie. I can play it on my DivX Alpha player just fine. I would like to convert it so I can burn it on a VCD. Do I encode like I do others with my TMPGE Encoder and convert to MPEG format?? Cirsinn
Ok, let's see if I understand you right. I need a DVD-Rom in my computer in order for me to burn a VCD from a downloaded DivX movie? I don't have one...so does that mean it's a no go? Also, the movie has already been ripped so can't I just encode it with TMPGE and then convert to MPEG format? I"m slow...so take it easy on me....ha hah. Cirsinn
No, you don't need a DVD-ROM. Read this guide: http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/divx_to_vcd.cfm
Hi, Just wanted to say thanks for the info...I"m encoding the DivX movie now. Once it's finished do I need to rearrange the priority again? ..or just leave it alone. Also, this may not be the correct forum to ask this question but I have successfully encoded the first of a three part star wars movie. When I went to click on output file to MPEG format...it was going along great until around 55% and then it's reading Script error...how do I fix that so it will convert fully to MPEG format? Thanks alot again...you guys are geniuses Cirsinn
HI Me again, It's saying stream writing error not script writing error and it's doing it for that DivX movie to. Now what do I do?? Cirsinn
if you get the error during conversion try vdub, if not, then when do you get the error and what file format/codec are you using?
Fixed the problem..thanks. another question....how to make a SVCD from downloaded movies. I heard it's better quality than vcd's. Thanks Cirsinn
