I have tried in vane using virtual dub to extract the audio as .wav ,then using tmpeg to create .mpeg files ,but the audio is out of sync in the mpeg file . Any ideas?

dont do that, there is another way to fix your problem with virtualdub.

    1. Open the avi in virtualdub
    2. click video - direct stream copy
    3. click audio - full processing mode
    4. click audio - compression and click no compression pcm, click ok.
    5. click file - save avi

then delete the old avi and use the one vdub created!

Audio must be VBR audio, try VirtualDUBMOD and NANDUB, nandub is the best chance!!

    Hi,
Just watched the divx through, glitch after 10 mins that throws audio out of sync, reload divx after glitch , audio IN sync ! It gets worse!. Start new divx to vcd project

Did you try using NANDUB to decompress the audio and remove the bad frames?

    Hi m8
I used dvd copy plus from 321 studios, and had no probs, except I wasn't happy about the quality, so I made it in svcd. Now that was a lot better. The program made it very easy to do as it guides you thru 3 steps and you are done.

    Hi Dela
You are correct in that statement. But It's that easy to use, a child could do it without stuffing it up.

True but it would only give the same error because the audio here ends up out of sync so the problem likely lies with the avi file!!

    Hi Dela
You would be absolutely correct. I had audio sync problems when I made it in vcd format but not as a svcd. I don't know if this will help, but one can only try.

Nah if the problem is in the avi file then it cant be helped by creating svcd, thge same result would come!
