    Read the FAQ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/196299 .
The (S)VCD size is determined only by 'length (in minutes) and bitrate (if it is a SVCD, which is VBR)'.
    Common sense split a movie either on 2 VCD (80' per 80' CD-R) or on 2/3 SVCD (55' per 80' CD-R).
For SVCD it is slightly move complicated [http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd2vcd_with_smart_dvd2avi_tmpgenc.cfm but consider VOB as an AVI (once you made the tests on the AVI to prevent audio un-sync http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/129217): (1) determine VBR settings with FitCD (2) AVI -> MPEG]
