what is a good dj program where u can make your own accapells? where u can load any mp3 or wav & use a fader or volume mixer to drown out the background music which would be the instrumental part. hopefully the same program would be able to make instrumentals by turning the vocals down in this case or mute vocals and u have the just the background music playing. thank you!!
There's no such software I've heard of before that will do that. Simply put, there's no separation of tracks once you get the final product in any format and therefore wouldn't be able to go from instrumentals to vocals or vice-versa. However, if you develop such a software that can do this, you'd be an overnight sensation and enormously wealthy!
There are equalizer presets out there. They minimize voice ranges, just like a bass boost would maximize bass ranges. My friend had a shelf system with an instrumental preset on it. You could faintly hear voices, but the other sounds were tweaked. I wasn't impressed. But recently, I heard a song parody on the radio where it sounds like they did the same thing. But, this one sounded gooooood. Now, you can make something like an instrumental, by taking a chunk from the song without vocals, then repeating that over and over. That is what I thought they had done. But I'm pretty sure this is the whole song with the vocal removed. I could hear a distant, muffled sound in the background. This sounded good, too. Now, I'm impressed. Somebody should shed some light on it. I think Adobe Studio is what the editors used on the radio show.
