hey i have been interested in Djin for sometime now. all i need to know is what is good dj equipment to you started. also i want to know about cd turntables can the scratch?
All i know about Turntables is that Technics are the best you can get...there somewhat expensive..but if thats what you look foward to doing then go ahead and blow all that money.
Technics 1210's are what I have and they are (in my opinion) the best! They have starter packages to get your feet wet and I would suggest this just incase you decide that this is not what you wanna do, no point in spending a ton of money. I would also suggest direct drive and not belt driven turntables. Just to let you know that This is a very expensive project and hobbie, If your really serious I will help to my fullist!! As I am a DJ.
no kidding, cause once you drain your bank account on all the expensive (but sweet) equipment, you have all the records to buy! new ones are just as expensive as CDs, sometimes more! So if you want to have a nice collection of music to spin, you'll need a second job just to get enough music! Thats why I wish record cutters were cheaper. wouldn't that be sweet to make your own records geestar?
i know its expensive but i like djing and remixing. records do they still sell them lol. theres heapz of software today aswell to remix but they cost too much so buying decks is easier
You actaully can, I beleive Vastax has a record cutter that can create its own records, but it costs a lott.....huh somes whers arounds 2g's or so plus you gotta buy the blank records which comes in 3 different weights (crazy huh?) Every peace of music I have is all on vynal, it's the best plus you get all the best remixs on vynal.
yeah but before i spend money on the equipment is there any freeware software that will let me remix and save them on my pc?
I don't know of any free DJ software, but the best one's I've used are PCDJ Red and BMP Studio Pro. @geestar: yeah, I've seen that Vestax record cutter, and have drooled over it! I think its even more expensive, I remember it being closer to 10Gs! and the blank records are $30 each! not very economical unless you're a millionaire...
i checked out the turntable today i only got to see pioneer. and they have ability to wind and scratch i think
