dl a movie and i'm not sure what it is

    i dl a movie file and i'm not sure what is, so that i can determine what i need to do to view it and/or convert it. i tried G-spot and no luck, ne1 have this problem and did you find a solution....thx for any replies!

    Where did you download the movie from? And you need to find out what format it's in.

    Using programs like AVICodec (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/avicodec.cfm ) or GSpot (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/gspot.cfm ), you can determine specific codecs required for individual movies.     If GSpot didnt work the file is probably fake, is it a .AVI extension? Whats the filesize?
