gordo what is the problem your having .let us know and we will try and help .or look at the the 2 dreambox threads as they may give you the sollution .
i just cannot get the cccam to work , i have tryed pli jade 3 , gemini , darkstar and one more im sure , i get the cccam installed , and i can get to the config file and edit 317 , however it still does not seem to read my sky card and show me my sky sports etc :-( driving me mad , what is the most stable and easiest to do ? any reasons why it wont work , to do with my boxkey i rekon , its a amstrad hd with white sky card.
your cccam.cfg without boxkey (just show format of boxkey line), primary c and f lines. i really suggest you use text editor to write your cfg file and flashxp to transfer it to dreambox. most intuitive solution available
ok, i will get this for tommorow around 4.30 pm uk time. i have to go just now , thanks again for you help , i think im goin to put pli jade 3 back on it seem to have been the best image, i have not edited the c and f lines at all.
gordo if you can do as fintann advised but do you have the basic pay sky channels such as gold /living etc opening ,also are you paying for sky sports/movies (if not they wont open) if you are paying for a full package which is all basic pay channels plus sports/movies (and all basic pay channels open with cccam but the movies/sports dont) then you have the wrong boxkey.
ok guys giving it a go now , putting plu jade 2 back onto box as felt its been best of all , what site is best for me to get my box key and am i better using the 10 digit code in the menu or the 17 digit code on the bottom of box , its a hd amstrad 500gb , i will go into the pli jade menu and download the cccam , i then connect to the dreambox to pc ok using dcc and a network cable through router, i get to ftp and i get to cccam.cfg no probs , right click and edit , line 317 n put code in , ill do this in next 20 mins and let you know how it goes ,and see what channels it actually get. i really apprciate you giving me your time to help ! cant wait to get it up and running.
great news guys !!!!!! pli jade 2 , with cam 2.2.1 am sure , from there server and edit in dcc , was line 333 instead of 317 for some reason , put in 17 digit serial and got my box key !!! yeehaaaa iahve my chanels , one question tho , on my sly box id get more station such as sky 1 and that , however when dreambox does sat scan , it only pics up , 600 stations and sky there is like 1000 , anyway to pick up the rest i am now doing a new scan that i have this working to see if that makes any difference !!! thanks sooo sooo much for all your help . im onto the next stage now great
