Hi I have just spent the last 3 hours reading all the threads on this recorder. I am about 7 hours out of the box and am already having difficulty. I am not able to set the clock because the button is "grayed out". So I tried the fix that I read by pushing open/close, time slip and << at the same time. It brings me to a screen that says test *1.1. I do not know what to do from here to get it to reset back to factory presets. Please anyone with any help I would appreciate it! My children go to school by satellite and school begins tomorrow and I am stuck. Thanks in advance!
I seem to think there is a menu item that lets you set the time, versus letting the recorder set itself from a signal based setting. Look in the manual for that, I'll see if I can download a manual to look too. Raymond
Hi Raymond, Thanks for your response. I ended up getting it fixed by pressing close, stop and << simultaneously. it then brought me into the service mode. I punched in 99 on my remote and it reset everything. Got to love it. Have not had any further issues. Again thank you for your response. Lori
