Do any of the other DVD copy programs have a Re-Author feature like Shrink?

I believe that elby's clonedvd2 has similar features but it is a program you have to pay for.

DVD fab also has a "re author" movie only option. You can download a trial version of it and dvd region + dss free here:

    They work very well together

Recode2 in Nero has reauthor. Its been said the author of DVDShrink works for Nero now and is the Author of Recode2

My opinion is it seems to work better. When I used DVDShrink I could never go below 70% on compression if I went below that I started having glitches etc from to much compression.

Using Recode2 I have backed up a DVD as low as 52% compression and didnt see any glitches or degraded quility like i did with DVDShrink when i went that low with that.

The only thing with Recode2 You have to rip the files onto your hard drive using DVD Decrypter or download AnyDVD and let it run in the background, because Nero Recode2 wont let you do copy protected DVDs.
