Do I have to lock my new HD?

    I've softmodded my xbox with knave 4.0 using the splinter cell game save i was able to ftp using flasfxp created linux.iso cd for xboxhdm getting ready to create the new drive do you rellay have to do last step and lock the drive or will an unlocked drive work I will not be using xbox live does it matter

    Without a locked hard drive you will not be able to get to the Original MS Dash to say save audio cd's on the system or manage your saved games.

    If you really could care a less about these features then locking the drive is not 100% necessary.

    you have to lock your drive if youre softmodding. only way you can use an unlocked drive is by having a modchip.
