Do I have to re"author" in order to burn??

    Hello fellow afterdawn members,

First and foremost I would like to point out that if I am using software that is probably not the best, could you point me out to something better (preferably freeware).

So the programs I use are as follows: Anydvd (for the removal of the protections for the newer dvds), DVD Decrypter (I use this to save the "main movie files" to a folder), and AutoGK (for the compression of the dvd) and last but not least DVD Flick( I use this to select the .avi file generated by AutoGK and "author" it as they say [srry im a noob so i dont know lol] and then immediately burned to a blank dvd-r to watch on any of my home dvd players)

Question: Once the dvd is authored with dvd flick, i always choose the settings so that it is burnt to disc after "authoring". Now then, once its done "authoring" i save the all the text documents and files and copies of the .vob and .ifo etc... It all gets saved to a folder. So, is there anyway I can burn another copy to the blank dvd-r without having to re"author" it again with dvd flick, as this is the only way i know how to do it. I know that when it is done authoring, the contents of the new generated folder look similar to that of a dvd (ie: it has the video_ts and audio folder and the like).
So is there anyway of burning again without having to reauthor with the newly generated contents of dvd flick? I dont want to have to keep on re"authoring" the dvd just to make another copy?

    Thanks in advance

Hey sorry once more guys. hopefully this is the right place. this is a continuation of the last post.

I am using anydvd in conjunction with dvddecrypter, and i use divxplayer to play my .vob files.

I have successully copied the files by removing protection from the movie "the dark knight" and i successfully decrypted using dvd decrypter.
So my new folder has the .ifo and the vob set.

I use divxxplayer to play the first in the vob set but there is no sound,(no my speakers are not muted), but when i play the other vobs they have sound, its just the first vob in the vobset that plays , but without sound, can someone maybe help out here??

    Once again thanks in advance

Read some of the guides floating around. Your method is convoluted.

Use AnyDVD with DVDShrink (it rips and shrinks). Tell Shrink to output as ISO. Burn the ISO with Imgburn. You can reburn the ISO at any time.
