I checked the device manager... All I have under Network Adapters is.. 1394 Net Adapter SiS 900-Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Do I have a Wireless card? I was going to get a Wireless Router so I would be able to go Online with my PSP, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo Wii, but I wanted to know if they are Network Adapters for Wi-Fi... What do I need to get to get this working?
Not from what you posted you don't. All that's listed there is Firewire and Ethernet. Just because you get a wireless router for your gaming consoles, doesn't necessarily mean your PC has to have one. Wireless routers have wired NIC connection ports.
So I don't need to have a Wireless Card to play Online with my Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, and PSP??? I have a Router connected to my computer that isn't wireless that lets me connect to the internet... so your saying I can buy just the Wireless Router and I could go Online with my Nintendo Wii, DS, and PSP?? Also what is a GOOD Wireless Router for a Good Price and that is stable and easy to install because my roomate and I are computer illiterate..So please help ASAP
I haven't personally setup a network with those machines...you'd be better off closing the topic here in the Windows section, and asking that in one of the console hardware forums here.
check the back of your computer, usually wifi cards have an antenna. Or on the right hand corner of your screen there is a little computer monitor icon with 2 green radio waves blinking. Double click that and press view wireless networks to see if you have one. To check if you have wireless use one of your systems to try it out and check your router if it's wireless(they also usually have antenneas). If you don't have a wireless router you can't play online with any wireless device, therefore you would need to buy one. Here's a cheap, but very nice wifi router --> http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Link...69086/catOid/-12980/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do
