Its called a DMR-E80HS - it is a very very good machine. However, Ken, a member here, has the DMR-E50H which i exactly the same i think without the hard drive. Its quite a bit more for the 80GB hard drive - is it worth it is the question you have to ask? I've seen it for $539CA
Just to add my 2 cents....... Yes I have the DMR-E50. The 80 does have the hard drive, and I can honestly say there are times where it would be handy; especially when I try to archive TV shows to DVD without the comercials. My primary use for it is to transfer VHS to DVD. I've pretty much paid for my new toy by transfering people's wedding video's etc. over to DVD. The big downside; it puts a very ugly useless menu at the begining of the disc. I use my computer and to edit the menu out, and re-burn the disc. (Movie only mode in DVD2one.) Hope that helps.
