My setup: XP SP2 MPT 3.11h Motorola V188 USB cable from another device Current scenario: USB connector cable from another device used. Hardware Manager lists "Motorola Phone (V118)" under "Other devices" with an exclaimation point. It's properties say "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)." So Windows is seeing the phone, but does not know how to talk to it. Questions: - Can the cable I am using be the culprit? - Does the MPT install include the drivers I need? - What are the file names and versions of the drivers I need? Thanks in advance for your help.
1) It doesn't matter where you got the cable. I'm using same cable with digicam, psp and v180. 2) No. 3) http://www.gsm-software.com/support/motorola/pst.zip <- use these as drivers, works just fine.
I needed these too! But where do i put them? Do replace these with the drives folder in Motorola Phone Tools? Please help me!!
