I am a sworn Ronin DVD player fan but I want a new surround sound system. Asda have a Dvd player (Pacific PHC-203) and surround system for £69.99 but I need to know if it will play my dvd-r copies otherwise it's no good. Their Pacific 1002 dvd player is the best selling player in the U.K. and that plays absolutely everything.
Oddly enough, i've just bought this system this week !! To answer yer question, so far it plays :-dvd+r, dvd-r, vcd & svcd. An excellent value for money system, in my opinion. hope this helps you. Dene

got this 2 days ago,not set it up proper yet but can confirm vcd svcd audio mp3 and all my back up dvd's,i only use ritek go4 work fine,no probs a bargain! can't play reg (1) dvd's etc though,can't find a multi reg hack any where,i'm told all pacific dvd's are multi regional but you have to set/hack it,so if any 1 knows what it is let me know cheers.
