Does the quality of the DVD burner (the hardware) affect the playback quality of the burned disc? I don't mean picture quality, I mean other things such as momentary freezes, etc. during playback on a standalone player hooked up to a TV. For software I use AnyDVD & CloneDVD2. My reader is a SONY DVD-ROM DDU1612, my burner is a SONY (originally single layer) crossflashed to a LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-832S DL burner. Works fine. My media are TY for single layer & Verbatim for DL. One further question: Does changing the book type to DVD-ROM improve the playability of the disc? All relative comments welcome.
