This is horsecrap. Everytime i try a VCD of an MPEG i have in my sony dvp-ns300 it just says "no disc inserted" and doesnt work. It says on the front and in manual plays VCDs but I cant get it to work...anyone know why? Ive tried every method on all the VCD buring websites.
I know what you mean, that sony player is enough to make you go crazy, I bought a ns300 aswell and when I took it home, no go, it wouldn't play a thing. I returned it the next day, and now have bought a sony ns530 player, which is the best thing since sliced bread. It plays just about anything. So i'd suggest if your players new, return/exchange it for something else. Otherwise maybe theirs someone else here who owns a sony dvp-ns300 player who can tell you a way. Sorry mate.
oh well..guess ill just buy a new one....thats sorta bs though that its advertised as playing vcds but doesnt work...f that.
I'd try taking it back to were u bought it from and seeing what they'll do. In most countries there are laws concerning consumer protection that state if the product is faulty or if it does not live up to its expectations, the consumer is entitled to a full refund/exchange/repair. As long as u have your receipt and u can prove that is suppose to play vcd/cdr they have to help u! If they still don't want to help tell them u will contact the consumer protection watchdog in your area & your'll see how fast they'll MOVE! I've worked in retail before so I know a bit about this stuff. Otherwise can anyone else here at afterdawn help to make these vcd's work? Dela, Maybe?
