Hi there ive got the R4 sdhc version and ive been playing it a few days since ive found out how to get it to work thanks to this site, however since ive loaded games on the card, my ds battery life has gone down hill, i charged it fully and in 20-30 mins or so the red light tells me the battery is near dead, and in some of the games if you click options the dscreen goes black and you no choose but to turn off the ds and lose any unsaved game play, i know this may seem long winded and i appologise im not a forum person normally but im getting there i think.
Hope to see and i have any response to this so i can see its not just me that has problems lol.

Thanks for any replies in advance and may you all have a happy day.
    Regards Elfness x

Yes is the short answer, they all drain the battery faster than a standard cart - however 30 mins seems excessive, I usually get a couple of hours before the red light comes on, for the best try reducing the screen brightness to 1 or 2 and turn the sound down
