If you want to make a useable backup copy, you cant just copy the files and burn with windows. For starts Windows XP Burning Engine is crap... If you type in Doom 3 in the Search Box, you will find a few threads of people asking how to backup Doom 3 correctly. CJC
The link didn't work for me when I first tried it but CJC is absolutely correct in that Windows can in no way make a backup of a protected PC game.
so i cant make a back up copy using windows burner its all i got do you have any clue what it should be called
There's nothing in the world you can name it to make it work. PC games use copy protection that prevent simple burning apps from copying them. You need specialized software such as CloneCD, Alcohol 120% or BlindWrite. Another consideration is that you need a burner capable of correctly writing the protection back to the disc, especially with Doom3. If the drive isn't able to do this the best thing you can do is try mounting the image in a virtual drive such as that included with Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools.
