downgrade xp - 2000

    hi, i need help to "downgrade" my windows xp home edition back to 2000, i have already tried shutting down my comp, then trying to use my 2000 bootdisk to boot from cd, but it will not give me a boot from cd option, any help is greatly appreciated

    check the priority order in the bios menu as far as places to boot goes

    Use your W2K Ghost backup disc. Oh you don't have one? Shame on you. You're going to put yourself through a lot of work without partition backups. Run out and buy Ghost or a similar program. Ebay, Circuit City, Best Buy [yulk], etc. And backup regularly. This is advice from someone who taught themself how to start and wreck computers. Its been a costly and frustrating expererience. Be smart. Why do you think corporations backup?
