Hi, Whenever I try to DL something, DIVX tries to open the DL even though I haven't selected it as the main viewer. This in turn stuffs the DL. I go into WMP to change the defaults and under the custom bar WMP will let me select WMP as the default player but the next time I look in there it's changed again, back to 'use my current media player' that I haven't selected and don't want. In the DIVX preferences I've selected not to have DIVX as the default for anything but still it tries to open my DL, even when I DL a program it will try to open it if I don't specify where to save to pgm, for example, the new updated skype won't let you 'save as' so DIVX constantly tries to open the DL at its completion. I tried removing DIVX from my system but WMP still won't play the game and still won't automatically open DLs... please help... Thanks. elnickooz
Here, try going and opening Windows Explorer then go to folder options and then to file types. Then go to the extensions AVI and set it to WMP. If this doesn't help then try uninstalling and installing DivX but this time when installing make wure to uncheck the install DivX Player option. Reply back with your results!
Spider, The AVI was already set to WMP, I'll uninstall DIVX as you suggested tonight and let you know the results tommorow. Cheers, elnicko
