hi there, i have downloaded an avi clip from emule, and i'm trying to delete it, but it says its being used by another program, close the porgam down then delete the file! my problem is i have no programs running that i know of but cant delete this file, i have tried restarting the computer then deleting it, but still no joy. is there a way i can over ride what ever program is using the file and delete it? i can copy it from place to place but then the copy wont delete, so now have 3 copies of the dang thing that i cant get rid of!
Did you try right clk on file, "cut", then paste in recycle bin? If that's not the answer then you probably need to take ownership of the file check microsoft on file rights and deleting files.
