Dont use IRC. Beware, the FCC is hounding that site. Im only guessing when you mean by "downloading movies for free" that you want to download also up to date new releases and in good quality?

A more secured site would be Direct Connect. Do a search on google for DC plus plus and it will tell you the rest on how to run the program and what to do.

Only downfall is the movies are either in divx, mpeg, vcd, etc and not always will you find a good copy online. usually the people that have movies above 2-3 gigs will be the ones you will want to download from, but you better have a VERY VERY good bandwidth.

IRC isn't a site and why would the FCC care about downloading?

Because downloading a movie is highly illegal if you are downloading without prior consent or permission from the movie screeners guild (theres another name for it).

The FCC has suit'd like over 100's of people already, downloading audio and video for free without prior permission from the movie studio organization.

10 people recently right here in Texas. Ummm, yah why do you think Napster is NOW charging for their use of music downloading?? DUH

Really? I had no idea. It's the Screen Actor's Guild by the way.

What is suit'd and where do you come up with this stuff? The FCC doesn't sue downloaders.

You're dumber than a bag of hammers you know that? Napster doesn't "now" charge for music. After the original got sued and shut down the rights to the name were sold to another company who now use it for a paid music service so there's absolute no connection between the old and new Napster.

Is it within your grasp to come up with information that's either accurate or not commonly known?

    Fine.....

suit yourself. Im going to waste my time explaining this shit to people that want to think different, but hey, do what you want, aight?

Its written all over the sites out there, bro. What happens is they will go on ftp sites and scope out what you have on your computer and if you are sharing files that are not licensed copies or illegally sharing they have the God given write to notify your ip provider and block you from having access, especially when you illegally share files out.

Im not going to provide links to ariticles Ive read, because its not hard to do a search on google and find them.

Im not trying to start anything here, dude Im just saying be careful where you go and what you do.

Its just hilarious when people talk shit saying its not true, then later get caught by columbia pictures or worse and wonder what they did wrong. (go figure)

...and umm......hate to bust your bubble dude but Napster IS NOT free. They give you a 7 day trial, true but after that you pay.

Dont know what youve been hearing but Napster back in the early days was totally free. No fee at all, free download, free downloading, free sharing.

Now you are given a 7 day trial and aftewards you must pay. I think its like 3-4 bucks a month, but yah it aint free.

where did Neph say it was free? Pretty much everything you've said so far has been wrong. Stick to talking about what you know.

If you'd actually read my post you might actually make a bit of sense but since that seems to be beyond your capabilities this thread is closed.
