It's probably old news to all you music afficiandos out there, but I recently did a google search for downloadable music. Amongst the URL's that came up was ht!tp:://www.mp3musiq.com (URL purposely mashed). Their website offers "millions" of free downloads with the payment of a membership fee. Turns out to be a total ripoff. They don't give you anything. They supposedly offer tech support for free download programs but all they do is take your money. Fortunately, I did some research before spending money. Found this Gnutella website (http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?s=d998cf14d83c5facb18928eafe76b9f8&threadid=28751&perpage=15&highlight=&pagenumber=5). This is only one of hundreds of rip off websites that take your money for "free" downloads only to tell you to download some other free software.
Yeha, it is old news, but very good of you to make this point, as a lot of people still do get scammed into paying for it. Remember kids; Filesharing is free, that is the whole point of it. Do not pay, nor give your e-mail to any company that claims to give you millions of free downloads!
