You can't download games to your xbox. You can download game saves to a modified xbox by pressing start when you highlight the game in the menu and selecting download saved game but there is no way to download games to the hdd.

If you mean save games on the hdd, you can be helped. Quite a few ways are available but it depends on your capabilities. Can you FTP into your xbox successfully? Do you have a program on your xbox called DVD2XBOX or HDDLoader?

In order to find out if I have any of those things, where do I look when I turn on my XBOX? It looks as ifgames are saved on it, because there are a list of games there. But, when you click on them, they don't do anything. so, does that mean my xbox has been moded. The Microsoft screen comes up when I turn it on.

Do you see the original XBOX dashboard when you boot up?

    Similiar to this:

Or do you see a dashboard that's custom looking (i.e. Avalaunch, EvolutionX) like this:

If it's the later of the two, the you mosre than likely have a modded XBOX. In short, it will look nothing like an XBOX of old ;)

From there, find out how big your xbox hard drive is...that will depict how much you can save to the hdd, for example; games, applications, media, etc...
