just recently I have started experiencing the problem of not being able to get into some web-sites from my favourites menu, starts to load the page & then a box comes up saying IE cannot open the page. the problem appears to be in the system32 folder with a file SHDOCLC.dll. usually when this happens it brings up the search page & I can sometimes get to the page that I want from there but rarely. Can someone please help me - what does this file do & how can I fix this problem? would a reg cleaner help? thanks in advance as I have always found everyone on here extremely helpful & this is possibly the best site on the web. borneodownunder

Rather than finding a replacement dll file and then installing it, it may be better to download IE 6/7 from MS web site, and do the uninstall/reinstall thing.

    Cheers.
