Hi all , decided to install a hard-drive into my dm800 and when I power up all I get is ream Multimedia -> error ! . I have tried to re flash with dream-up but when I press connect I get a pop up message saying : no ca found by 2nd stage loader ,please contact support at dream multi-media , and flash button goes grey ! I then try via web browser (firefox which normally works) but when I browse for nfi file and then press flash nothing happens .Tried flashing with IE no joy either . A while ago i did update my bootloader to 84b to use different image would this be a factor ? any ideas ? Also happens when I take the hard-drive back out ! sorry I effin did it ! cheers!
OK panic over , I must have loosened the sim connection or something , I took the hdd back out pushed in a few connections on the board then powered up ...all ok so I carefully put the hdd back in and tadaa ! all back to normal and hdd initialized ,phew ! Bty , can a thread be deleted on this forum ?
why delete it as it may guide others to your problem and how to sort it,thats what a forum does try to help others,glad your sorted.
Well I felt like a lunatic at the time ! . I was lucky on this one because looking on other forums this can be a fatal error , there are different ways to fix it one way is to take out sim and clean it and another is using a second "working" dm800 with dreamup but first of course ...... check connections !!
